This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

📋 1. What Data We Collect
Account & Authentication
- Email address (via Google Sign-In or manual registration)
- Display name and profile photo (provided by Google or entered by the user)
Learning Content
- Flashcard decks and cards created by the user
- Documents or images uploaded to generate flashcards (processed and discarded; not stored permanently)
Game Statistics
- Games completed per module (Flashcards, Match, Multiple Choice, Drag & Drop)
- Correct answers, errors, and scores
- Study streak (consecutive practice days)
Push Notifications
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver optional study reminders and in-app notifications
We never collect passwords directly. Authentication is handled securely by Firebase Authentication (Google).
🔒 1b. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect browsing history, location data, or device identifiers beyond what Firebase uses for push notifications
- Uploaded documents and images are processed to generate study material and are not retained permanently
- No data is sold, rented, or shared with third-party advertisers
⚙️ 2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and personalize your learning experience
- Display game statistics, progress, and study streaks
- Generate AI-powered flashcards and exercises based on content you provide
- Send optional practice reminders if you enable them
- Improve app performance and fix bugs (aggregated, non-identifiable analytics)
We do not use your data for advertising or behavioral profiling outside the app.
🗄️ 3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored across two secure environments:

Firebase Authentication (Google Cloud) — manages your account credentials and
session tokens. Compliant with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

DigitalOcean VPS (our own server) — stores flashcard decks, cards, and game
statistics in a PostgreSQL database hosted in a private, access-controlled virtual machine.
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
- Access to your data is restricted exclusively to your authenticated account
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
API keys and server credentials are stored server-side only and are never exposed in client code.

Used for user authentication, push notifications, and file storage (images for Image D&D).

Used to generate flashcards and learning exercises from documents or images you provide.
Content sent to MiniMax is processed to generate study material and is not retained for training.
No personally identifiable information is included in AI requests.

🗑️ 5. Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time through the following methods:
- In-app deletion: Go to Profile → "Delete Account" to permanently remove all your decks, statistics, and personal data
- Email request: Send a deletion request to support@neuroquizz.com and we will process it within 30 days
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your flashcard decks, cards, game history, and profile data will be erased from our servers.
👶 6. Children's Privacy
NeuroQuizz is not directed to children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information,
please contact us immediately at

We will delete such information promptly upon verification.
